Vereco offers a range of housing options, from single-family homes to multi-unit developments, well-suited to Indigenous and rural communities.
These homes are pre-designed to be NECB Tier 3, 4 & 5, depending on your needs and goals, with a focus on energy efficiency, healthy indoor air quality, long-standing durability. We work with you to plan for timley and efficient delivery.
Our Smart Green approach ensures that investments in energy performance are practical and cost-effective, with long-term operational benefits. Select floor plans can be adapted to meet specific community or project needs.
Depending on the type of housing you may be interested in, we work with you to ensure transportation and/or construction is well-planned. Vereco offers construction training and oversight for communiites looking to build local capacity.

Mother Earth Dwellings
Mother Earth Dwellings, or okáwímáw askiy míkiwahp in nēhiyawēwin (Plains Cree language), are Vereco’s flagship energy efficient pre-constructed models, developed in partnership with VOCE Developments.
The model names are inspired by Plains Cree tipi teachings, reflecting pride, culture, and connection to land. Vereco is grateful to Milton Tootoosis and Dorothy Thunder, for their guidance on nēhiyawēwin naming.
Mother Earth Dwellings blend these teachings with modern performance, delivering quality, durability, and energy efficiency. Homes can be delivered to site within approximately six months from date of order.
Layouts are similar to Smart Green Humble Homes, with a distinct building envelope and model naming approach.

Smart Green Humble Homes
Smart Green Humble Homes, developed in partnership with Voce Developments, are energy-efficient pre-constructed models that offer practical, affordable sustainability for a wide range of needs. Smart Green Humble Homes have similar layouts as Mother Earth Dwellings but with a different building envelope and model names.

Fauna Series:
Panelized Nail-Laminated Timber (NLT) Housing System
The Fauna Housing Series is designed to support Indigenous, northern, and remote communities. Our prefabricated and insulated nail-laminated timber exterior wall and roof panels enable ease of delivery, faster construction, reduced reliance on specialized labour, and can support participation from local crews through inital training and oversight.
The Fauna Series homes are designed to perform in extreme climates, with stable interior temperatures, healthy indoor air quality, and reduced long-term utility costs. High-performance envelope strategies, including enhanced insulation and airtight construction, contribute to consistent comfort and energy efficiency, and can be Net Zero Ready.
Panelized construction helps address short building seasons, supply chain challenges, and high transportation costs.

Multi-Unit Housing Developments
Vereco offers a range of pre-designed multi-plex housing layouts that can be delivered using panelized NLT systems or traditional design-build approaches, depending on client needs, location, and available resources.
We provide a variety of configurations, including 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12-plex developments. Options include two-storey buildings or stacked units two storeys in height, with or without basements. We work with clients to understand project goals and present pre-designed floor plans that align with community needs and site conditions.
These developments are designed to balance affordability, energy efficiency, and long-term value, making them well suited to municipalities, Indigenous communities, and housing organizations for owners and renters alike.
