"Making a Living"
The Pimacihowin project includes youth between the ages of 16-21 attending Cst. Robin Cameron Education Complex and Stobart Community School in Beardy’s Okemasis First Nation.
The program follows a semester system which consists of two five-month semesters in one academic school year.
The Pimacihowin Project collaborates with the housing coordinator and public works director to establish the priorities of renovation projects within the community.
Since the implementation of this project, these youth have shown increased attendance, engagement, and completion of training modules.
The Pimacihowin Project is a program that is recognized and supported by the Ministry of Education with the government of Saskatchewan. Additionally, the Pimacihowin Project also registers their participants with Saskatchewan Youth Apprenticeship Program.

These clients were inspired by Dwell featured homes you might normally see in Arizona, adapted for energy efficiency in Saskatchewan’s climate.
The exterior design mirrors certain elements of the interior, like the custom wood siding and wood slat overhangs. We wanted the house to grab your attention through its balanced simplicity and stunning materials, while complimenting the surrounding homes in the City Park neighbourhood. The interior is modern with a mid-century twist, featuring wood accents including custom vertical wood slat partition walls and a central, steel-base, open-tread wood staircase.

This home is more than halfway to Net Zero, at 60% better than standard construction, with a garage-mounted solar system.
