Introducing a very exciting new build project in Saskatoon:
Fika House is a 12-unit affordable community for independent LGBTQ2S+ seniors that will target Net Zero efficiency in Saskatoon’s Sutherland neighborhood. The complex will address cost of living through a proposed car share program, community garden as well as a high performance design that will reduce utility costs.
Fika House is a grand-scale collaboration project that seeks to build community connections in an inclusive manner to support LGBTQ2S+ seniors, who are disproportionately faced with housing inequalities and discrimination.
After many months of conceptualizing, planning, designing, energy modeling, and meeting all of the city zoning requirements, we can’t wait to see this project finally come to life! Construction is scheduled to begin Spring 2021.
We want to extend a huge and heartfelt thank you to the incredible team of collaborators on this project:
Petrichor Developments and Arlyn Developments as Project Developers, Head of Funding Operations, and Project Management.
Vereco Smart Green Homes is honoured to lead the Building Design Development and Net Zero Energy Modelling.
Althaus leading the Interior Design and Style Direction
Silverhawk Construction Inc as General Contractor
